Judith Alder is a founder member of Blue Monkey Studio, Blue Monkey Professional Development for Artists(BMPD) and a Director of Eastbourne Festival CIC.

She has exhibited her work in the UK and America and has taken part in a range of projects including Greg Daville's City Running and Breaking Ground, a collaborative project with artist Roz Cran. In 2005 she was artist in Residence at Phoenix Arts in Brighton as part of "Watch This Space". In June 2005, Judith Alder was one of eleven development award winners around South East England who received Art Plus Awards to develop ideas for innovative public artworks*.

Her work is held in collections including those of West Dean College, Canterbury Christchurch University and Eastbourne College.
