The Under Ground residency took place in the basement Pine Gallery at Claremont Studios, Hastings. The work was made in partial darkness and grew around ideas generated by research into insect activities, especially those which take place mainly underground. The work explored the processes used by insects such as ants, termites, bees and wasps, and the materials associated with them - pollen, wax, paper, spit, sugar. Next page>
