BLUE MONKEY STUDIO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2007

27 MARCH 2007 - Willingdon Community School has generously offered support for the Blue Monkey Professional Development Programme.

The support will enable us to carry out a pilot activity to gather further information from artists to inform our planning, as well as allowing us to continue with research and development for the programme which we hope to launch later this year.

Following on from the very successful Blue Monkey Studio networking event in September 2006, which demonstrated a strong desire among local artists for more, similar activities in Eastbourne, we're beginning to develop a more structured programme of events to take place over the course of the next year. This programme could include:

•  opportunities for networking

•  talks and discussions led by invited guests

•  peer critique sessions led by invited artists

First of all, we need to find out whether this is something that you as artists are interested in, and if so what you would hope to gain from such a programme. We know that artists in the Eastbourne area already have diverse practices and differing levels of experience, so we'd like you to tell us what you think you don't know or would like to know more about. Please help us develop a programme which will be valuable to artists in and around Eastbourne by responding to our questions and suggestions in a questionnaire which you can download here.
