My photograph from the Pushing The Boat Out series has been chosen for the cover of the 2009 Coastal Currents Festival brochure.

Check out the Coastal Currents website for news of the 10th Coastal Currents arts festival - a month long celebration of dynamic and engaging arts events in and around Hastings, Rye and Bexhill-on-Sea. This year’s festival focuses on contemporary visual arts with the theme ‘hidden Hastings’, revealing new and exciting work by local artists, in unusual locations all over the town.

My recent work, "There's No Place Like..." can be seen at the Surface Gallery in Nottingham from 24 July to 7 August 2009 as part of the Surface Gallery Open 09. Surface Gallery will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this October, and this year’s Open Show marks an ambitiously curated and successful annual exhibition. This year’s show is hosted for the very first time in Surface Gallery’s new and exciting space on Southwell Road... more info at www.surfacegallery.org/

Micro-mapping Towner - my new site specific work made as one of two artists' interventions specially for Towner for Eastbourne Festival 2009. The work explores the interior landscape of Towner, marking a route using a broken line (the symbol for a footpath or bridleway on Ordnance Survey maps) which navigates the internal geography of the public, non-gallery spaces. Places and features along the route are named with titles from the Towner Collection. The work can be seen at Towner, Eastbourne until 31st May 2009.

CIRCUMNAVIGATION - Blue Monkey Studio is presenting an exhibition of site specific art and performance at The Redoubt Fortress, Eastbourne as part of Eastbourne Festival 2009. The four Blue Monkey Artists, Judith Alder, Cat Ingrams, Wycliffe Stutchbury and Alison Haddon, have invited guest artists from along the South Coast to join them in exhibiting work in CIRCUMNAVIGATION. The exhibition will showcase work which responds to The Redoubt Fortress, its architecture, history and previous uses. The exhibition takes place 11th April to 31st May. www.eastbournemuseums.co.uk
